Movie Night

The library will host a “Movie Night” beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27. Featured will be the film, “Paradise Road” starring Glenn Close.

This event is part of a series of events which will lead up to an “Evening of Music” concert scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd, at 7 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. That concert will feature a choral group performing the music composed by a group of women held in a Japanese prisoner of war camp in Sumatra during World War II.

The film, “Paradise Road,” is about these heroic women who used music to help them stay alive during their captivity.
